The venerable .308 Win, inherently accurate, powerful, easy on barrels, light recoiling, with readily available factory ammo for virtually anything from competition shooting, plinking, hunting to tactical use. Heavy-weight chassis platform for shooting extended ranges, magazine-fed, built on the classic Rem 700 action with a Rock Creek Match Barrel. Includes quality Leupold Optics matched to the caliber via a laser engraved Kenton elevation turret; gives the operator precise and speedy target engagement out to 800 yards. Primarily built as a long-range coyote rig, but could be used for any type of long-range shooting. Silky smooth custom tuned action with a threaded barrel ready for a Suppressor, extremely functional, deadly accurate, and a pleasure to shoot.

Action- Remington Factory 700 RH, Chrome-Moly, Short-Action customized into a "Super" action.  Soltis Rifles Super 700 Action gets a complete blueprint/accurizing/truing of the Action/Bolt, then front and rear bolt-sleeves are installed and then further modified/tuned and precisely fit to cam into place for a perfect bolt lock-up.  The bolt-lugs are final hand-lapped, the bolt-head is machined for a custom sizing ring and then upgraded with a Sako Extractor Kit.  The firing pin is turned down to .061 and a custom firing-pin bushing is installed in the bolt-head so firing pin travel is consistent and precise.  The bolt handle is "pinned" to the bolt-body for added strength, a custom oversized bolt-knob is installed for easier grip and faster cycling, scope base holes are opened up to beefy 8-40 screws and a complete action smooth is done.  Lastly, the receiver was custom milled/scalloped slightly for the Milford Hills emblem. 

Barrel- Rock Creek Match-Grade 5R Barrel, Heavy M24 Contour, 1 in 11 twist, finished length 20” (bolt face to crown), recessed target style lathe-cut crown, 5/8-24 threaded muzzle for included brake and/or future suppressor, stenciled with caliber and Soltis Rifles emblem.

Stock– MDT Chassis XRS Model in Flat-Dark-Earth, takes AICS pattern mags; quality chassis with heavy-duty aluminum bedding block, fully adjustable, M-LOK compatible, two sling-studs included, along with an MDT Bipod.  The chassis recoil lug inlet was bedded for a one-to-one fit with the 700 recoil lug for less vibration and better consistency shot-to-shot, barrel floats freely and barreled action is secured by two hardened cap screws.  Magazine release button was modified/customized for smoother/easier magazine loading.

Magazines– (1) MDT 12-round .308 Metal AICS-style Magazine and (1) Accurate Mag 5-round .308 Metal AICS-style Magazine.

Muzzle Break– Harrell 4-Port Tactical Stainless Steel 5/8-24 "Timed" Muzzle Brake;  excellent "moderate" brake, baffles at 90 degrees for less concussion/noise on the shooter, angled up to eliminate muzzle-flip.

Trigger–TriggerTech "Special" Model Trigger, Single-Stage, Flat shoe; tuned to around 1lbs., no creep and nice crisp break.

Finish– Complete Refinish/Rustproofing; all the Chrome-Moly steel was Parkerized, Stainless and Aluminum were sandblasted and then all coated with DuraCoat in Tactical Black with Tactical Coyote Tan misting. 

Scope– Leupold Mark 4 Tactical Scope LR/T 4.5-14X 50mm, M1 Turrets, SFP, 30mm tube, Mil-Dot Reticle.  Added a Leupold Alumina 2.5" Sunshade and a Kenton Industries Custom Elevation "Speed" Turret with Zero-Stop; lets you quickly and easily dial your elevation for extended range shots out to 800yds.

Accuracy– Range Sessions/Testing; Barrel Break-in, Function/Safety and Scope checks were all done and verified.  Rifle accuracy/groups/zero were completed using Hornady Match Ammo, 168gr BTHP; extremely accurate rifle, 1/2MOA consistent, ragged hole if you're good....the rifle is far more accurate than the majority of shooters.
